How to use

Three steps.

1. Pick a topic

From the home page, choose a topic such as football players or smartphones.

2. Pick an entity and a metric

Choose who you care about and which number to rank by. The result card updates instantly.

3. Read the result

The big number is the rank. The bar shows the percentile, the share of the field it beats. The chart shows the whole field as a curve, every entity as a dot, with a one standard deviation band. Drag the handle to see how many clear any value. The cards below show the value, the average, the standard deviation, and the distance from the average. Use the copy-link button to share an exact comparison.

Your own data

On the Your data page you can paste or upload a CSV and see it in the same charts. It is saved in your browser for next time.
